What our customers say
★★★★★
Annual boiler service - done efficiently and the engineer gave me a full written report. Noticed the pressure relief valve was ageing and replaced it as a precaution at a fair price. That kind of proactive care is exactly what you want.

First Call has now done our annual boiler service for three consecutive years. The engineer is always the same face, which I appreciate. Always thorough, always on time, always honest. You simply cannot fault the consistency.

Recommended First Call to my elderly mother for a boiler service. The engineer was patient, explained everything in plain English, and even noticed her carbon monoxide alarm battery was flat and replaced it. That level of care means everything.

Your boiler service questions, answered
How much does a boiler service cost in Coventry?
From £75 for a standard annual boiler service, with no call-out fee. Landlords can add the CP12 gas safety certificate for a combined price from £105. The price is confirmed before we start.
What does a boiler service include?
Your Gas Safe engineer inspects and cleans the burner and heat exchanger, checks the flue, tests gas pressure and flow, tests every safety device and control, checks seals and pipework for leaks, and updates your service record.
How long does a boiler service take?
Between 45 and 90 minutes for most boilers. Older or more complex systems can take a little longer, and we give you an honest time estimate when you book.
Which boilers do you service?
All major makes including Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal, Viessmann, Potterton, Glow-worm and Ariston. We carry parts for common issues and can often fix minor faults on the same visit.
What is a CP12 and do Coventry landlords need one?
A CP12 is the Gas Safety Record that UK landlords must get every 12 months for each rented property. It confirms all gas appliances, flues and pipework have been checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer and are safe for tenants. Not holding a valid CP12 is a criminal offence.
Can I get the boiler service and CP12 in one visit?
Yes. Boiler service from £75, CP12 from £60, or both together from £105. The certificate is emailed the same day.
Do you offer rates for landlords with several properties?
Yes. For two or more properties we offer a discounted rate per property, track renewal dates for you and send one invoice per batch. Managing agents and lettings agencies are welcome. Call 02476 950 595 to discuss rates.
Do I need a boiler service every year?
Yes. Most manufacturers require a yearly service to keep your warranty valid. It also keeps your boiler running efficiently and catches small faults before they turn into expensive repairs.
Is a boiler service a legal requirement?
Not for homeowners, but skipping it can void your boiler warranty. Landlords must have a gas safety check every 12 months and give tenants a copy of the record.
Will a missed boiler service void my warranty?
In most cases, yes. Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Baxi all require a yearly service by a Gas Safe registered engineer as a condition of their extended warranty. A single missed year can void 5 to 10 years of cover.
How soon can you come out in Coventry?
We typically offer appointments within 2 to 5 working days. For anything urgent, call 02476 950 595 and we will find the earliest slot.
Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Our Gas Safe registration number is 564807 and you can verify it at GasSafeRegister.co.uk before we arrive. Always ask to see the engineer Gas Safe ID card before any gas work begins.
